Barbie and friends will have no end of fast-movin' fun in this pink and white speedboat. It holds 2 dolls inside the boat (you'll need dolls with bendable limbs) and 1 doll on skis behind. It's not meant to actually go in the water, which makes it a good toy for year-round indoor and outdoor play. When the switch is set and your dolls are ready, the boat will move in a straight line, small circles, or large circles. The motor, which sounds almost like a real boat, runs for 15 to 20 seconds and the boat moves fairly quickly, so be sure to remove obstacles before letting the dolls go. We discovered that it works best on smooth surfaces and, in the interest of avoiding accidents, should not be operated on a table top. Kids will need help putting the water skis onto a doll and getting the speedboat up and running; assembly takes about 10 minutes and requires 3 C-cell batteries and a Phillips-head screwdriver. Includes 1-piece water-ski unit, 2 snap-together boots, tow bar and rope, personal flotation device for doll (doesn't inflate), and boat. --Heidi Robinson
